Our Founder
Rev. Robert Du Shane founded Lakeshore Food Safety & Compliance Solutions to bring integrity, education, and compassion to Michigan’s food service industry. With decades of hands-on experience in restaurant operations, inspection preparation, and compliance management, he understands the practical challenges that kitchens face every day. Trained in one of the nation’s most respected restaurant systems, Robert applies that same operational standard to every consultation—offering practical, inspection-ready solutions grounded in real-world experience.
As both a minister and a lifelong food service professional, Robert approaches food safety with a balance of accountability and empathy. Through his ministry, Nomadic Blessings, he extends that mission beyond compliance by offering reduced consulting rates to businesses that donate meals to local homeless outreach programs. His work reflects a commitment to both professional excellence and community care—creating safer kitchens and stronger neighborhoods across the Lakeshore region.
Our History
Lakeshore Food Safety & Compliance Solutions was founded out of both experience and frustration. After decades in the restaurant and hospitality industries, Rev. Robert Du Shane watched countless people buy or open restaurants without understanding the systems required to run them safely and successfully. Rather than standing by, he decided to make a difference. Drawing on his training within one of the nation’s most respected restaurant systems, he began offering consulting and training to bridge that gap — empowering owners with the knowledge and structure needed to thrive while staying compliant.
The company’s roots are also grounded in community service. Through Nomadic Blessings, his outreach ministry, Lakeshore Food Safety & Compliance Solutions partners with local businesses to provide reduced-rate consulting in exchange for meals donated to homeless outreach programs. What began as one person’s desire to raise standards and make a difference has grown into a mission to create safer kitchens, stronger operations, and more compassionate communities across Michigan.
